Boys Will Always Be Boys!

Grant's buddy Jordan has this fun little motorcycle and brought it out to the house so they could ride it around our yard.  It of course was an instant hit!  They have even parked it here so they boys had a place to ride it.  They scare me just watching them as they both act as if they are on motocross sports teams...but they love it.  Just as long as they never get a bigger one and head out on the streets.

Steve taking a turn.  Like I said  Boys will always be boys!

Lake Powell AGAIN..... (August 2012)

Carly and Joel had a week off before Joel started school again and wanted to spend it at Lake Powell.  They invited Camille and Blake to meet them there and finally talked us in to sending Grant as well.
We hated to see Blake leave us a week sooner than he had planned as he JUST got home (from his mission to South Africa) but they all wanted to go and they had a BLAST!
Bathing at the Lake

I think Joel lost something!?

All three on one boogie board.  They were all very proud of this stunt!

Camille and Blake chillin!
It is very rewarding as a parent to see that your kids like each other and get along so well.  I am greatful that they are all so good to Grant.  Tyler and Kaylee missed out on this event as they were already back in school and work.  I am thankful for GREAT kids!  I am gald they made a memory with each other.

Hiking Near Lake Moraine

Two hours of hiking gets you to beautiful places like this!
This is a hike near Lake Louise and Temple Mountain.

The Bike Ride July 2012

Steve loves the outdoors! He even bought us all new bikes this year so he was thrilled to take the kids on a ride that he has been wanting to go on. We drove to Canmore and then hit a trail that went from Canmore to Banff. It was a beautiful ride and then I picked them all up in Banff.

We all love this picture.  :)
Getting ready for the bike ride.

The crew before the ride.
Carly was a little worried as the guy in town
told them to take BEAR spray!  Good
thing they didn't need it.

All of them at the finish in Banff!

The Kids at Lake Powell July 1212

Carly's in-laws (The Goodmans) go to Lake Powell every summer.  Carly and Joel invited us to go as well.  It was too crazy as Blake would be home in a few days and my Mom was here in Canada for the month so it was just Camille and Grant that went.   They had  great time and here are some of the pictures to prove it!

Kids and Glen Beck

The kids (Blake and Camille) were treated to VIP tickets to see the Glen Beck show at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium this weekend while they were in Texas.  I think they were more excited to go see the new Cowboy Stadium...however Blake said the show was "Pretty Sweet"!

The real Glen Beck!  :)

Family Time

It was nice to have all of the kids home even if it was for only a short time.  We had a FULL weekend planned but I know that we all enjoyed being together again.  Carly and Joel flew in on Tuesday night and Blake arrived late Wenesday, Tyler and Kaylee arrived Thursday afternoon.  We baptized Grant on Thursday night, Blake reported to the High Council after the baptism.  Friday morning we headed to the mountains and Banff for a couple of days.   Blake spoke in church Sunday and then did a youth fireside.  Tyler and Kaylee had to get back so Tyler could start his 3rd year of med school. The weekend went way too fast but I am so glad that we had the time together.
The kids hiking to the Tea House over looking Lake Louise

We stayed at a great little place called Bakers Chalet.
This Elk hung around and we all got way too close for my comfort.

Over looking Mistia Canyon.
One of the most beautiful places on earth.

I love this lake and those kids!

I am so thankful for a wonderful week with all of the kids and I feel so blessed to have such great kids!
