A Few Of My Favorites....

Camille is in her second semester of Media Arts at her high school.  Her teacher raves about her talent and eye for photography.  I have enjoyed seeing her photos.  It is fun for me because sometimes I get to drive her around and find cool things to shoot.  I can tell what is cool but I have no clue how to set up the picture.  Here are just a few of my favorites...

Self Portrait.  She even has her own little watermark on her photos.

My boys..WITHOUT SNOW on the ground.  A rare day!  Ha

Love this one to.

Reflection

When we went to BC last week we saw so many Mt. Sheep.  We were
sure this guy posed for her.

This was at a playground in B.C. Canada.  I have never seen anything like it before.
 So cool.

Last semester was all black and white.  This semester is all color.  I can't wait
to see what else she sees behind that lens!

School is in Session! 8/31/2010

Camille and Grant on the first day of school.  Notice the jackets..it is August 31st!
In Texas it would be a very different story.
This is a picture of Grant's grade school.  (terrible picture...sorry) It has grade 1-4
and about 500 students.  He  seems to like school and his teacher but says 7 hours
is way too long for a boy his age to be away from his Mom!  I agree with him.  The
nice thing here is that the students get out an hour early on Friday's.
This is a picture of Camille's school. It is one of the top rated HS and very coveted
to be able to attend.  It is very different from where she attended last year.  It houses
grade 9-12 and has only about 750 students.  It is a very small HS.  Camille thinks
that it is too small but I think it will be great!  It also has the community recreational
center attached to the school.  The kids get to use the physicality often for their
sports classes and activities.  They all have lap tops this year.  So far so good...
No tears yet!  Cross your fingers!!

Carrie Underwood and EFY. July 5-10, 2010

While we stayed at Lake Powell Camille left a couple of days early because she had
FRONT ROW seats to Stadium Of Fire in Provo.  Carrie Underwood was the main
attraction.    She and her friend Katelyn enjoyed the concert and then headed to EFY
at BYU.  The whole week was a blast.
Camille and Katelyn front and center!
It was a fun surprise for Camille to find two of her Keller friends right across the hall
at EFY.
                                                               (Alexis and Carly)
Katelyn and Camille all dressed up.
The whole Company
Camille enjoyed her week at EFY.  We pulled her out one night so we could all go to
dinner  at Outback ( his last meal sort of speak) before Blake went to the MTC
the next day.

The flight to Canada 6/16/2010

We were all so tired when we finally boarded the airplane to Calgary. What is the old saying..."A picture is worth a thousand words" Camille says it best! We love you darling girl. ;)

End Of Year Recital. 5/2010

Camille's last recital. It seems like we had a lot of "lasts" to deal with before we moved. It was a time full of mixed feelings. SAD, because we are leaving a people and place that we LOVE but oh so grateful for all of the experiences and blessings we enjoyed there. Her friends, Carley, Alexis and Camille after playing their masterpieces!
Her beloved piano teacher BethAnn. Camille loved taking piano because Beth was so young and hip and let the girls play music they loved to play. Thank you Beth Ann for inspiring Camille to love the piano. We will miss you.
Our dear friends The Fitzpatrick's (McKenzie and Kelly) were moving (to PA) at the very same time we were moving (to Canada). Here Beth is giving them a farewell gift. We see smiles but there were tears as well.
I am searching for a new teacher here in Canada. I hope she inspires Camille as much as BethAnn did. I love to hear Camille practice. It fill the house with music and sets a wonderful tone.

Happy Easter 4-3-2010

Who doesn't love to dye Easter Eggs?? It is one of my fondest childhood memories and almost as anticipated as Christmas. Grant asks for weeks before Easter when he can finally dye eggs. Although Camille doesn't look thrilled in this picture...she is a great sport and always so good to help Grant make beautiful creations. Grant learned about his teacher's VERY FRAGILE eggs at school and he wanted one of his very own. He could not believe we could blow the yoke out through such a small hole. It was lots of fun and we made several of them. Camille thought it was just plain GROSS. I am sure she has done this before. :)
The HUNT! The fun and joy of childhood. It doesn't seem to matter if you are 5 or 15.

We were invited to eat dinner with some great friends Leslie and Christine. It was so kind of them to think of us even when they had family coming over. It was nice to spend time with them and dinner was of course so YUMMY. Leslie made his famous cinnamon rolls and they were to die for. I ate 2 and that was after I had eaten a huge meal...( i know I shouldn't admit that) They were honestly that good. We took this flower arrangement to them as a thank you. Grant was so happy to help arrange it.
How grateful I am for this special day and for sacrifice that was made for each of us by our elder brother. We were able to listen to General Conference all day and hear wise testimony from our Prophet and his apostles. It is truly one of my favorite times of year. It was so nice to have Easter and General Conference fall on the same day.

Random Fun

Grant LOVES to take pictures....Here he is taking pictures of himself! I think they are pretty artistic. People pay good money for pictures like this now-a-days...HA
Grant with his buddy Nathan playing on of their favorite games. They jump until they can get all of the balls off the tramp. One of the things I will miss most about Texas is this little guy and the friendship that Nathan and Grant have formed. They have had play dates together since they were one.

Camille and Grant making a yummy high energy fruit smoothie after a hard practice session with the Miami Dolphins. Grant still has his helmet on and everything. :)
I love these kids!

MOVE OVER MARTHA...There's a New Cook in Town! 3-18-2010

Camille has been working diligently on completing her Young Women's Personal Progress and she is so close! We decided to take some time over Spring Break to work on a couple projects she needs to finish up. So we spent the entire day shopping for and learning to make wonderful yummy meals. She wanted to learn how to make homemade bread and raspberry jam. We made several batches to get the hang of it and she also wanted it to be tied into a service so she expanded her project and made 5 complete meals to take to a few people that may just need a little TLC. She packages them up, wrote a darling note and then called them to let them know she would be delivering dinner to them. It was a fun time and she really did get the hang of it. Everything was so yummy! Here she is putting the final touches on the stuffed pasta shells. Notice all of the loaves of bread on the counter behind her. The menu for the evening was: Stuffed shells with red sauce, green salad, homemade wheat bread and raspberry jam.
*the note attached said:
As part of my Personal Progress I wanted to learn how to cook. I thought I would share with you what I have learned. I hope you enjoy eating it as much as I enjoyed making it. Thanks so much for all you do.
Camille Williams
( she had darling graphics and taped it on the yummy bread)

Here she is stirring the pectin.
She had a little system going. Go Camille go....
Even Grant got into the action.

I know she enjoyed this project. It fun for me to overhear her talking to the chosen recipients. They were all so grateful to her and have called to thank her for thinking of them. We just may have to do this another day just for fun.....If you ever need homemade bread or jam just give Camille a call. She did a great job...REALLY!

Our Talented Girl

Camille has been taking piano for almost 2 years now. She fought me in the beginning about taking lessons...I think it has surprised her how MUCH SHE ENJOYS it! She is quit good and the bonus is having her music fill the house. She must have Grandma Williams gene's as she also was a fabulous piano player. Here she is at her Christmas recital. Keep it up cam! Camille and her piano teacher Beth Ann Sands. Beth Ann is a wonderful teacher that is just hip enough to draw the kids in.
Crazy girls posing after their recital. Carly, Stephanie, Camille, Jessica and Mackenzie.

Camille and her Camera!

Camille is my picture happy girl! She loves to play and have fun with the camera. I am so glad she does because she gets some fun shots.... Here are a few of them. She has even taught Grant to point and shoot!

Fun on the tramp.
They had a fun baby shower for Camille's piano teacher. it was all New Moon themed because Beth Ann is a Twilight FREAK! Well, I think everyone there was but ME! We all then went to the midnight showing of New Moon. Yes...even me. Honestly.....It was fun to go along and see how thrilled my daughter was to hang out with the Mom's and see a silly movie. I for the life of me don't get why everyone is so gaga over this series....it makes no sense to me. Am I tooooo old or just to realistic to get it?? Oh.... I know, I already graduated from high School! :) I am sure I will make enemies with that comment!
McKenzie and Camille stand by the life size Edward. Is that his name or is it Jacob?? :)
Stephanie and Camille playing dress up and taking pictures....the funny thing is that these girls and others will play dress up here and take pictures for hours....they have done it since they were Beehives...it still puts a smile on my face!
Playing with the color on her camera.

My darling boy! what a pose.

Bath time.

Oh sure we had the Forth of July in November here in Texas....I was a bit nervous that the neighbors would smell the fireworks and call the police. That would be an expensive fireworks show! :) Grant was thrilled to actually get to play with sparklers. Things we took for granted as a kid.
Get taking more pictures Camille....I love them!
