Carly and her "friend" Craig Martin from Alpine, Utah came for a short visit from BYU. Carly plans on getting her CNA this summer and will be working at a Country Club in Provo. Craig will work at the MTC and for his father doing landscape work on his properties.

Mom and Grant took a short trip to Idaho to visit family. The Emery's had a "work day" planned to help Grandma get ready for the summer. Adam Fuhriman was getting married that weekend and it was Lanae's birthday, so it was a fun filled trip. However.... Grant's FAVORITE part was riding Uncle Scott's horses and feeding Uncle Terry's cows. He is a cowboy at heart and asks often if we can just buy a horse for the back yard!

Alexis and I were on our way to a haunted house. It was our first time to visit a haunted house, so we started out by going to the one held by Carroll High School. At the end Alexis got chased with a chain saw and dashed to the car leaving the rest of the group behind! It was a blast.

Thanksgiving 2007

We had a great day full of food and fun!! The kids all got up early and went to the Turkey Trot 5K race in Fort Worth, Texas. It was a chilly morning but all that went had a good time.

We had dinner at about 3 PM. We were blessed to have many friends and family come celebrate with us that day. We had our little family here with the exception of Carly who went to Idaho and Tyler and Kaylee who were in AZ. visiting Kaylee's family. Mark, Mary and David Williams were here along with Shelly and Brandon Padoska and their boys. Stephen and Jenny Williams came from Houston with their kids and met their friend the Eilis's here. They were a sharp young couple and we enjoyed having them here. Our friends the Yeck's and the Hansen's from our ward came to enjoy the day as well. It even SNOWED during dinner... it was a beautiful show!

Turkey Trot 5 K race.

Mark, Mary, David, Steve, Camille and Grant all went to Ft. Worth EARLY Thanksgiving morning to run in the 5K race. it was cold and windy but it has become quite a tradition. This is the 4th year straight that we have participated in the Turkey Trot.

THE BEGINNING:

I have to give all of the credit of me starting this blog to my niece Mary Williams. Mary is much more computer savvy than I am (which wouldn't be hard at all! HA ) She saw the darling picture of Grant in the chicken costume and thought it needed to be documented this way. So she sat down at my computer and set this whole thing up. She showed Camille how to post and update and that is how it all started. Little by little I have learned how to maintain it. My whole intent in keeping this blog up is to use it like a journal and to keep our daily lives somehow recorded. My hope is at the end of each year to have a book printed for my kids to have and keep. It has been fun to learn and to be encouraged by so many of my cute young friends that are way better at this than I am.....who says you can't teach and OLD dog NEW tricks!!

Grant's Pre-school had a Halloween parade. As you can see by the pictures he was not happy about being a chicken in the least. He wanted to be an elephant!! Everyone got quite a kick out of seeing the grumpy chicken little. ;)
