Carly's Quilt Project July 2008

I came home this summer for a few weeks before I go back to school. I don't have a job and I don't have responsibilites so I decided to make myself a quilt in my mass amounts of spare time.

On Saturday July 19th the Hickson's invited the family to go boating at Marine Creek. The kids all had a blast skiing and wake boarding. Camille got up for the first time on skies. Blake slalomed for the first time and got up right away! He is such a MAN! :) It was a very fun night for all that were there. Thanks Andy and Chris!

Willaims Family Update July 2008

Things have been a bit crazy around here with all of the summer activities. Tyler and Kaylee are living here this summer while Tyler works for Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth. He is trying to get some medical experience on his resume. Kaylee has a great job working from home for a computer software company. She was able to travel to AZ. once to see her family. She has even taught Cami a little piano. Carly's engagement has been called off so there will be no wedding in Aug. She has come home for the rest of the summer to spend time with family. She will head back to BYU in the Fall. Blake is our workaholic and is always busy doing something. He is always gone working or being social. He does however retire to bed early as 5:30 AM comes really early in the morning. Camille has had trek, girls camp, travels to Utah and Colorado. She helps with swim meets and babysits and is our social butterfly. She is also my best help! Grant is doing great with swimming lessons. He is a little fish. He loves computer games and we all have to fight for computer time! Steve and I are both just busy!! We never thought we would have our house FULL this summer with all of the kids but we are so thankful they are all here under one roof. Who knows if that will ever happen again!! OR maybe I should say... I hope that never happens again!! HA just kidding.........

Fun Things We Did!! July 2008

Camille and I were happy to be able to go the the "Stadium OF Fire " show at Cougar Stadium on the 4th of July in Provo, Utah. It was a fun night for both of us and just a great show all together. The Blue Man Group and Miley Cyrus both performed. It was a delightful and moving show. Well... I was not real impressed with Miley but than again I an not 14. :)

Grant, Steve and I went to Sundance and took a chairlift up to the top of the mountain. It was a fun beautiful ride. We hiked and took in the sights. It has been years since we were last there. It was well worth our time.

We got up early on the 4th of July to go to the Provo City Parade. It was a mad house and people camped out the day before to get a place to sit. I have never seen anything like it . All this for a Parade?? Here Carly and Grant wait for Curious George to come.

We went to Uncle Scott's place where the kids got to ride horses and shoot guns. I was happy to learn that in reality the pistol was just a pop gun. Even Grant took a turn. Yikes!!

Williams Family Reunion June 30 - July 3, 2008

We had a great time at the Williams Family Reunion in Fairview, Utah where Uncle Larry and Aunt Carlene offered us their beautiful cabin. We had about 90 family members in attendance.

There were lots of fun activities such as crafts, rockets, a really dangerous swing that Grant loved and Camille smashed her heal on....4 Wheeling, canoes, fishing and more. There was always great food, family and just all around fun.

What a boy. Grant was ready whenever a 4 wheeler left the property.

We are sad that Tyler, Kaylee and Blake were not able to make it to the reunion this year. We missed them!!

Graveside June 2008

After the Farr West reunion we went to the Ogden Cemetery where Karen Walton (Steve's Sister) told us some stories about our ancestors. We talked to the kids about Grandma and Grandpa Williams and their cousin David Walton who are all buried there.

We were able to take a shot trip to Boise, Idaho to see my Mom. (Loraine Emery) After church we took flowers to Dad's grave. He was the 5 th person to be buried in the new Military Cemetery in Bosie, Idaho. I feel like it is such an honor for him.

We have been so blesses with great family.

Dad, Camille and Grant head to Estes Park, Colorado. June 08'

On the way out to Utah for the Williams family reunion Dad, Camille and Grant took a little detour to Estes Park, Colorado. One of our favorite places. Here Camille makes friends with the Elk on Ridge Road. Good thing Mom was not there.....isn't this a little dangerous????

Grant loved hiking up the snow. He says he got a "freezer headache".

They took a 4 mile hike to Cub Lake. They enjoyed the hike and thought it was so beautiful. The chipmunks were everywhere and came right up to them. They would even eat out of their hands.... again isn't that dangerous or at least unsanitary??
