Carly and Joel had a few days off school and wanted to come up for a surprise visit.
They had the whole thing worked out with Steve but of course I figured it out a day
or two before they came. We didn't tell Camille or Grant so they had no idea.
When we drove up to the house I asked the kids to go get the groceries out
of the car. You should have heard the screams coming from the garage.
Boy were they surprised and happy to see Carly and Joel. Camille was
out of school for finals and Grant just took a couple of days off...here are
some of the fun things we did:
One of the ski resorts was having a homemade cardboard box sled race. The Young Men in
our ward had entered the race so we went up to watch and support them. One of our teams
even took first place. It was something we had never seen before. Fun!!

It felt a little like an extension of Christmas because we played games and watch movies and
just hung out!
Notice my crazy son in law Joel.

We tried to make a snowman but the snow is so dry here you cannot make a ball with it.
So we made a ice fort!

A huge snow buffalo outside the hot springs swimming pool we went to. It was such
a nice treat to have the kids come and visit if only for a few days!
Now Tyler and Kaylee need to come!;)
