BLAKE..need I say more??

Blake left yesterday on a High Adventure Camp out as a LEADER.... yikes!! If that is not scary enough he decided to cut his own hair as well.

Here he is buzzing his OWN hair. Check out those sun burnt shoulders! After....... He did a pretty good! I just had to even out the back.
My skinny boy. I had a good friend tell me once that she was going to report me to child services for starving Blake! Ha Honest he does eat. :)
Blake striking his pose....the morning of the camp out. Blake and that HAT!
You know what I have learned over the years is that no matter how old your son is, you will always worry about him when he is gone to camp. I have had anxiety all week about Blake leaving. I felt like he was 12 again and going on his first camp out. I hate it but I guess for mothers it is like loosing a bit of control. No one can take care of your kids like you do. The other thing I have learned over the years is that this is exactly the kind of thing that builds men! We have to let go at some point but we don't have to like it! Hurry home Blake!!!!!!!

GO RED RAIDERS!

Grant had his first baseball game! (Coach Pitch) It is so much fun watching him learn a new sport and love it. I still flash back to when the other kids were small. Yes, I am going through all of this again. He really is a spitting image of Tyler at this age.

This is a weird picture but some how it reminds me of those special affects they do now days. Only I didn't mean to! Ha
Grant running home! look at that form! :)
Grant on first base.
Brothers....Blake has been such a great help getting Grant to practices and games. He loves to be a part of it and it has been such a big help to me. What will I ever do when he leaves??!!

Camille's First Piano Recital

Camille has been taking piano lessons from my darling friend Beth Ann from only six months. Last night was her first piano recital held at my good friend Dina's beautiful house. Camille LOVED playing on her piano. She played "Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat. I know I am her Mom and bias but she did a WONDERFUL job!!!! I have been so proud of her. She has really enjoyed taking lessons and playing. I really do not have to bug her to practice. She has just been self motivated. I hope that does not change. It so nice to have music fill the house. THANKS CAMILLE!
Camille's FIRST bite after she got her braces off. The food of choice....a chocolate chip cookie of course.
My girl....Beth had made these darling piano keys out of cookies and frosting. Each student got one.
Camille and her friends that take piano as well... Camille, Carly, Alexis and Jessica. We are missing McKenzie in this photo!
Camille and her teacher Beth Ann. Thanks Beth, you are awesome!
All of the students.

BEFORE AND AFTER

The long awaited day finally came. Camille got her braces off!!!! And a big day it was. She had a hair appointment, got her braces off and had a piano recital all within a 4 hour time frame. Here is the before picture..... (Cute hair Angi... our hair stylist) drum roll.......... AFTER
What a beauty she is and check out those pearly whites and chocolate eyes! ;)

OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO...DR. SEUSS

Keller 2nd Ward girls and leaders. June 2009 Our Stake just got back from girls camp. We had great adventures with mice and floods, but everyone came home safe and sound. The theme for the camp was..
"Oh the places you'll go!"
You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes
you can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
you're on your own. and you know what you know
and YOU are the girls who'll decide where you go!
It was a fun wacky theme and many fun things spun off of it. I was able to attend on the Stake level and work with the level 3 girls, but a bonus for me was to be at camp with Camille and see her shine. She was a good happy girl and many said nice things to me about her. (as a mother it is so good to hear that others think your kids are good) ;) Thanks Camille!!
We had great food, great fun and made great friends. Thanks so much to all of the Ward leaders for all of their hard, hard work. The girls were great!!
The only downfall was that I missed my BOYS so much!
Don't' cry because it is over, SMILE because it happened.

Look Who's FIVE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT AND NATHAN!
Grant and his little friend Nathan turn 5 less than a month apart so we decided to have a joint birthday party with their little soccer team that Nathan's Mom coaches.

The two Grant's. Little Grant idolises BIG Grant!
Camille and baby Beckett.
This was a darling picture of all of the girls that came. This was not staged. They all ended up here eating their Pix Sticks. A sugar rush just before we sent them home for the night! :)

PRICELESS

This will melt your heart... Grant came home from pre-school last week all excited. They have something called "Star Singer" during their singing time each week. If you are chosen as the "Star Singer" you get to choose a small Oriental Trading Company type toy. It is always a big day when Grant gets Star Singer!! Well, I guess ONCE a year on each child's birthday they get to pick a gift from the nicer toy box. Grant waited ALL year for this day. He came home last week with this fan that he talked about all year and said, "Mom I finally got it for YOU." as he handed me the fan.... It melted my heart. How sweet is that. OK, he is my favorite! Until he doesn't make his bed....;) Ha
