Feild Trip to Cabelas 9/8/2008

It was a fun day at Cabelas with Grant and his little buddy Nathan. We saw all of the BIG fish and even got to watch the man feed them. It was amazing and gross all at the same time. Grant is sure one of them was a shark even though all of the fish were fresh water fish. We had lunch at the little restaurant there. We ended our little adventure shooting the laser guns. We had a great day.

Catching up with TECHNOLOGY!!

We all got quit a laugh out of Steve FINALLY breaking down and asking Blake to teach him how to text! He graduated when he successfully sent a text to Camille. So come on try him.....:)

It's a Tortoise NOT a Turtle!

DID YOU KNOW.... that the term turtle is a large term that would include some tortoises? And some tortoises are turtles but turtles are NOT tortoises???? Neither did I but Grant has one...a tortoise that is!

Schoshi (means little in Japanese) joins the family!

Grant's first day of school!

Grant started back to school (Building Blocks) on Tuesday. He graduated from the Green class to the Blue class with flying colors. He has two new teachers Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Wilson. His school is right next to the High School so his big brother Blake even gets to drop him off some days, which is the coolest!

"RAINER...ISM"

My Mom is hilarious. She is 83 and a bit naive or maybe even a little dingy. Her name is Loraine. My siblings and I have a great time teasing my Mom and we affectionately call her "Rainer". When she does or says something funny I call it a "Rainerism". Here is my first recorded Rainerism. My 16 year old nephew Dillon was in a terrible accident last week and was life flighted to a hospital in Boise Idaho. He had been riding in back of a pick up truck when the driver lost control of the truck and Dillon was thrown from the truck. He hit his head on big rocks and has a skull fracture among other things...So that is NOT the funny part but this is.....I called Mom to get an update on how he was doing. She said well he is still in ISU and so on...I said Rainer what is ISU? Well, isn't it ISU? You mean ICU??She said oh. yes ICU. I said I think ISU is Idaho State University!! I am glad she can make me laugh even in the mist of all of this tragedy.

Did Someone Get a NEW Helmet??

Grant was so excited about his new bike helmet!! That night he wanted me to come in and kiss him goodnight, when I went into his room...you guessed it, he was in bed with his bike helmet on. I had to convince him that helmets are for safety while riding a bike not sleeping in bed. You never know though he may be on to something. If anything falls on him in the night he will be prepared! :0

Chicken Little Returns....8/2008

If you remember the picture below was of Grant at his school Halloween party and he was NONE too happy about having to be dressed up as a chicken. Tyler told me that BOYS should not have be chickens. I guess it is not a "manly" costume....but boy was it cute! Last week he had a Indiana Jones birthday party that he was suppose to dress up for and he came out in this chicken costume. Didn't you see the chicken scene in that movie??? He even laid down and watched TV for a bit before he decided that maybe it wasn't the best outfit for the party.
